Introduction of Workshop
In lieu of having a quick in and out book signing, we feel impressed to talk about emotional abuse at Ressurrection’s very first book signing. This will not be the standard, and the event is not long so we encourage people to be on time. It was important for Ressurrection to share her story, but it is equally important to help others to improve their lives along the way.
Being a good Christian
The church has many ideas about what walking in love is and it can often cause confusion in the mind of an emotionally abused victim. We aim to identify what emotional abuse is, and through the word of God, clarify what walking in love is. The bible says that everything hangs on love. We know that Love is God, and if you reverence God, there can often be a battle between enduring the abusive relationships through family or marriage, or walking away.
The purpose of this workshop is not to tell you what to do. In fact, it is not even to offer advice! We want to share with you through this class a revelation of your own identity in christ, and your ability to love despite abuse.
We want to encourage you to make a decision about who you are connected to based on what God tells you to do and not out of fear, and emotional dysfunction. There are so many people blinded by their ability and a capacity to love that they are oblivious to the red flags of abuse.
Our desire is to educate you about abuse, defining it and offering tips on how to recognize it. We want to offer you biblical options for how to handle emotional and or physical abuse without feeling guilty, wrongfully convicted, confused or in distress.
We pray that this workshop begins your Journey to Freedom and Love.
*I want to emphasis that we are the body of christ, and are all members and ministers. I am not an ordained minister, pastor or clergyman as elected by a body. This is not a church service. This is a workshop, designed to offer biblical and spiritual principles to those who are seeking information about how to identify, recognize and break free from emotional abuse. This workshop was birthed out of my memoir writing, Identity Crisis, Identity Christ Is: A Journey to Love.
This is a FREE workshop and book signing to follow!
