I get the title of this blog a lot. Since the book has been released, before I can get a word out, people are already pairing me with alternative schools, and students who may be struggling at home or at school.
I want to share something with you, and you will have to read the rest in my book, Identity Crisis, Identity Christ Is: A journey to Love.
I am a Youth advocate! I wrote the book from the mind-set and perspective of a youth believing that children/youth will be able to relate to it, while adults can choose to heal through it.
My platform is to gather teachers, social workers and parents together to have conversations about safe parenting, dysfunctional relationships, communication, and to offer skills for better parenting, teaching and serving youth who appear angry.
I hope this clears things up a bit. My desire is to bring awareness to how we parent our children in hopes to encourage adults to be better communicators, friends and parents, and protectors of their children.
My belief is that God has called us to steward over our relationships with our children. We should become educated and practice parenting in a way that creates better citizens and builds the economic welfare at home, and the world.
We must build the esteem of our children and dedicate ourselves as parents. We must be the leaders we want them to be.
I’m passionate about parenting, and I believe teachers must have more than a degree and a desire to “teach”. Parents are leaders and teachers; Teachers are teachers of more than education, and social workers are more than paper pushers, and prognosticators. The one thing they ALL have in common is that they have to establish a relationship with the child that they are serving.
Without going any deeper, this is why the book was written; to save a child, to create correction, to help passionate people be better servants and to be the voice for a child who does not know how to express their pain inside.
