Today is my birthday and the absolute last thing that I thought I would be doing right now is writing a blog but I had to say thank you.

I am literally in tears, choked up in tears, and even had to excuse myself to blow my nose. I must feel comfortable with my audience because that is nasty to share; not sexy indeed. Please forgive my poor blog manners.

I had no intention on coming to visit my blog today or going on Facebook for that matter. I am so glad that I did because you, my followers have given me a beautiful birthday and anniversary blogging gift-you! I woke up this morning feeling like I wanted to be able to be surprised for my birthday. I was hoping for the miraculous; a leading into the next year and on the eve of the NEW YEAR, I have 654 Followers and Subscribers!

I began blogging because my friend encouraged me to do so in order to promote my book Identity Crisis, Identity Christ Is: A Journey to Love. What has happened instead, is that I have found myself a place to share my passions and to promote The Power of Saying NO! (one of the Ten Ways to Safeguard your Child from Sexual Abuse)

2012 Changes

I have decided to become a full-time Speaker and Advocate for the Starvation of Predators and the Healing and Prevention of Child Sexual Abuse. I speak passionately about the plight of homelessness. I have created a hash tag you may have noticed #starvepredators and #tenways

I enjoy visiting high schools to speak with teenage girls about teen dating and healthy emotional relationships as a prevention and awareness of domestic and sexual violence.

I enjoy speaking to educators with various backgrounds in schools, conferences and the like to talk about Ten Ways to Safeguard Your Child from Sexual Abuse, a list that I created and tailor to a variety of audiences in corporate, government, church ministry and educational settings.

Additionally, in 2012 I am taking the biggest most amazing leap of my life. I am driving across country to talk to the media, uplift communities, and to talk about families separated by homelessness; foster care and how both groups are put at risk for child sexual abuse.

My partner and I are going to homeless and safe house shelters to empower performance, provide resources, and infuse healing among those who are also afflicted with narcotic and/or substance abuse. An alarming eighty percent of narcotic and substance addicts have been sexually abuse as a child.

Our goal is to leave at the end of February. We are working on sponsorship as we speak. I want to encourage you to stay along for our journey!

I am excited to give away three copies of my book today to say THANK YOU! I was looking for a sign leaving 2011 to confirm that I should go on the cross-country mission anything at all to say that the topics I speak on are important. Just in the nick-of-time I see this!

I am also very happy that I am member of the National Coalition for the Homeless and Rape Incest National Network’s respective Speaker’s Bureaus. It is a labor of love to which I am please to be appointed. I look forward to all engagements within these organizations and the others that I intend to fulfill.
