Disclaimer Notice: Breaking this Code of Silence

Disclaimer Notice: Breaking this Code of Silence.

I have chosen to re-blog this because Sherline touched me. She has shared in my comments that she has been inspired by this website and my work.

Yesterday, she brought tears to my eyes because she decided after much meditation I am sure to share her own personal story for the first time on her blog of how she was sexually abused as a child.

What I love about her heart is her desire to see others overcome trials and tribulations that would prevent them from living their best life.

So today, I want to celebrate Sherline from breaking her personal code of silence. I am inspired to keep writing! My fiance, my mother and God have told me to keep writing!

My intention for this blog was to support others in their healing process. It has evolved into an all out campaign to prevent abuse, and to make others aware of the intricacies of child sexual abuse so that we can end it.

I will continue to write and pray that individuals who find their way here overcome silence, and their pasts so that they can live their very best life.

As a note, I am a writer. I am also however, a full time speaker and have availability in the coming months to speak in your city for conferences, special events or one night only with yours truly. Please continue to share my work on your social networks, and here on WordPress. The very best thank you is an amazing referral to speak in an event that will change men and women’s lives.

Blessings to you.

BE. Extraordinary,

  1. Thank you for all your encouragement Sister Res.

I pray that others come out of the closet and face what happened to them with honesty and feel some release by no longer carrying the burden of silence. Silence has a way of trapping our spirits in an ongoing cycle of self-abuse after the abuse. I realized that after I wrote up my story. I admit that I felt sick after revealing it…but that’s nothing compared to the freedom I’m feeling now after the fact. So thank you Sister Res for your continuing efforts to guide people into their freedom from the past so that they can walk stronger into their futures.

Stay blessed always by God’s favor to increase you and multiply your efforts. Your blog and your work will prosper in the days ahead. I’m believing for it. Sending out some love.

    • hurting mother of 2 says:

Congrats to shedding light on the darkness!
Isaiah 42:16 I will lead the blind by ways they have not known, along unfamiliar paths I will guide them; I will turn the darkness into light before them and make the rough places smooth. These are the things I will do; I will not forsake them.

You are free, you have taken back the enemy’s captivity of “silence”.

      • Thank you both for your encouraging words. You don’t know how much they mean to me. God bless you and I know that I am stronger now through Christ who strengthens me. God is my refuge in time of need. He gave me the strength to speak and be free. Thank you once again and may the Lord help those that need to break that code of silence and be set free.

        Sherline 😀
