The Unapologetic Visionary Leader

Thoughts Of The Day….

Know yourself. I am not a loose cannon. I do not do anything without a purpose – seriously. If I clean the kitchen, there is a purpose! I am knowledgeable about what I know, and what I don’t I become a student.

I am a defiant trailblazer. In other words, I do not deviate from the vision to appease others; that has been the cause of unnecessary mistakes in my life. It is my gift and not a curse. I HAVE to do what I love or anything else is absolute suicide. I never just talk, and I am never confused. People often have their own vision of what dreams you should be chasing if any at all.

Today, I was talking to a pastor who I call Ma as her first name and her shortened name as her second name. She was my Sunday school teacher at six years old. She is just as blunt as me and I love it.

We had a heart to heart about some things. She was offering some guidance on something specific and she said, “I don’t think you are disciplined enough to do ……” and I laughed out loud.

First, I told God that! I know my giftings and my defiance is not to hurt others it is because there is vision greater inside of me that God wants to use to create something for the purpose of transformation, change and healing.

The next time you think of and adult or child that you believe to be unable to “follow” perhaps it is because there is something great inside of them that will only allow them to lead. True leaders will follow who and what they respect.

I know who I am and it is beautiful to me. Who are you?
