Somebody Say Word is an expression that ended one of my poems many years ago. It kinda stuck, and today I use it as the name of my open mic. There is a new location for 2013! We hope that you come and join us at the Hilton in Arlington, Virginia.
There are opportunities to share your poetry on the mic, or to sit in the audience and soak up the inspiration. You do not have to be an artist to come to an open mic, and appreciate this form of performing arts, and literary work.

Specifically we want to encourage ministry groups, book clubs and other social groups come out and enjoy the fine arts in a laid back way.
The thing I love about the open mic is that it is live. You can never replace these amazing moments, and it’s hard to imagine them at home. You just have to be there.
