Given the Gun Control topics, this is certainly a timely article don’t you think? Should guns be allowed on the street? The grandmother acted responsibly, but I am concerned that no citizens helped her. This was a dangerous situation, and had all the men gotten involved in protecting this grandmother, the gunmen would not have gotten away with the purse and his weapon could have been taken from him. Makes me wonder how many other muggers were on the bus but weren’t targeting her. Why didn’t the citizens immediately call the police? Even if you don’t want to get involved physically, you could go to the other end of the bus, and call the police so that they were there before she would be dragged off of the bus or harmed.
People really do not seem to care about other people and this is alarming.
What do you think could have happened to prevent this from happening?
